Uploading Video from a Phone

First I woukd have video already on my phone, record one. I would either connect my phone to my laptop at home or connect via bluetooth, upload the video on my computer, then usb. Then upload(copy and paste) the video from my usb to the computer-then finally my blog.

(My phone[BL40] stores videos as mp4s)

Stereo- Sound that is directed through two or more speakers(it seems to surroud the listener)
Channel-a path which electrical signals can pass
Track- sound recording on a narrow strip of a motion picture film
Frequency- the rate at which something occurs
Hertz- the unit of frequency(equal to one cycle per second)
Decibel- a unit uxsed to measure the indensity of sound
Wav-standard video format for Windows operating systems
MP3- a means of compressing a sound sequence into a very small file
AIFF(Audio Interchange File Format)- is an audio file format-used for storing sound data for personal computers and other electronic audio devices

What is data compression?
The process of encoding information using fewer bits than the original represenaion would use.
What is a data compression ratio?
Also known as Compression Power, Data Compression Ratio is used to qualify the reduction in data-representation size produced by a data compression algorithm.
Why is data compression an important technique for the online world?
Compression is an important part of the online world because it shows how compressed an image/video is, it is how clear an image is.
What is the difference between Lossy and Lossless data compression?
Lossy image compression is used in digital cameras to increase capacities with thw minimal degredation of picture quality.
Which method offers the greatest compression ratio?
Loseless basically offers the greatesr ratiob compression-it is also the most popular.

Digital Video

1. What are some advantages of digital video?
One advantage of using digital video is that it is farely easy to edit and upload onto youtube or ipod.


2. What is meant by frame rate in video?
Frame rate in video refers to the speed at which an image is refreshed(mainly in frames per second-FPS).

3. Are all videos/movies the same frame rate, explain your answer.
Not all videos/movies are the same frame rate- it depends mainly on the quality of the video/movie.

4. What is meant by resolution, how is it measured.
Resolution describes the detail an image holds, it is usually measured in pixels.

5. What is the colour system called RGB?
RGB-Red Green Blue: is an addictive colour model in which red, green and blue are added together in various to reproduce a broad array of colours.  

6. Explain the video standards PAL, NTSC, and SECAM, what are the main differences between them.

Audacity Installation

Audacity is a portable application that can be saved onto a desktop, USB drive or just about anywhere else. The instalation is the same as any other application.
